With year-round sunshine, stunning sandy beaches, lush tropical scenery, friendly locals and irresistible food and music, a holiday to the Caribbean will be all that you dreamt of and more. Each island offers its own unique atmosphere, cuisine and history.

Barbados

Barbados has two contrasting coastlines, to the south and west the turquoise Caribbean sea calmly laps the shoreline of sandy beaches whilst on the east side the Atlantic thrashes against the coastline. Barbados features some of the finest hotels, beautiful beaches and spectacular sunsets. The capital Bridgetown offers great shopping with duty free. Barbadians are extremely friendly they make you feel welcome. You will certainly want to come back again to Barbados.

Antigua

With 365 stunning beaches on the island to choose, holidays to Antigua offer sand, sun and crystal seas. The North West coast is busier, with more developed resorts and holidays to the South West are more tranquil. When holidaying to Antigua, a visit to Horatio Nelson's fully restored dockyard is a great day out, as is the capital St John's with its lively market and duty-free shops. Take a trip on a hired boat and explore Barbuda, which is about 30 miles north. The nightlife is low-key, and tend to involve chilling out in one of the many bars or restaurants.

St Lucia

St Lucia is an exotic destination, with unbelievable beauty. With beautiful sandy beaches, brilliant sunshine and amazing sunsets, Caribbean islands just don’t come more romantic than this! If you are the adventurous type, you can explore the island by various means of transport including mountain bike and horseback. At night the pace is very relaxed, although Rodney Bay has a wide choice of bars and restaurants with live music and with plenty going on.

Jamaica

Holidays to Jamaica offer the best of both worlds. Your holiday could just be about relaxing on the beach or it could include rock climbing up waterfalls, rafting upriver or horse riding on the beach. You could take in a round of golf on a championship course, take a shopping trip or have a nice relaxing lunch – the choice is yours! There’s a huge range of things to do when holidaying in Jamaica, Dunn's River Falls is breathtaking – both the view and the climb! Montego Bay is the place to stay if you want a livelier holiday, with a good selection of bars and shops. Ocho Rios is an up market destination and a great base for visiting major attractions of the island. Negril is spread out along a 7 mile stretch of golden sandy beach, this resort is more laid back. Whatever you are looking for Jamaica has it all!

St Martin

One half of the island is owned by the Dutch, the other by the French. The Dutch side is more informal, the French is a lavish resort with gourmet restaurants and secluded beaches. With 36 secluded beaches, Grand Case Beach is lined with little shacks serving delicious grilled lobster and barbecue. Orient Bay is also ideal for windsurfing. The calm waters of Little Bay Beach are great for snorkeling. Go to Front Street in Philipsburg for duty-free shopping. In Marigot you will find shops and boutiques and a lively morning market on Wednesday and Saturday.

St Kitts

The island of St Kitts remains unspoiled, despite the fact that it is becoming a popular holiday destination. If you can drag yourself away from the beautiful beaches your sightseeing trips must include a hike to Mount Liamuiga, your efforts will be worth it to see the spectacular views. You can also explore tropical rainforest and seaside lagoons. There are also historic plantation houses and forts to explore.

Grenada

A holiday to Grenada is perfect for a romantic and truly tranquil getaway. Backed by hills, Grand Anse boasts a lovely sweep of white sand fronted by turquoise seas. In contrast, Black Bay has silky fine black volcanic sand. It is worth finding time to explore the island's lush, tropical interior, filled with forest and jungle. The Grand Etang National Park, is definitely worth a visit, home to Concord Falls, monkeys and exotic birds. The locals take great delight in welcoming holidaymakers to their island and are some of the friendliest people you can hope to meet.

Tobago

With a Tobago holiday you will always find yourself close to a beach, some popular with water sports, restaurants and bars, others more peaceful and secluded. You will also find turquoise seas and so much more besides. Tobago is home to the famous Buccoo Reef, which is a protected marine park. Take a tour of the ancient forts, the nature reserves or visit one of the island’s art galleries or museums. Why not take an excursion to neighbouring island Trinidad? This extrovert island is famous for being the birthplace of calypso and it holds an annual carnival.

Cuba

The Caribbean's biggest island offers all that we expect from a Caribbean holiday and a lot more besides. Cuba is the Caribbean’s biggest island, with an Afro-Latin culture, you will not find anywhere else in the world like Cuba, the island truly takes on a laid back vibe. Visit Havana, the capital of Cuba, a trip to the cigar and rum factories is a must. The resort of Varadero is famous for its unspoiled white sands and crystal-clear waters. To sum it up a holiday to Cuba offers glorious sun, crystal clear seas, golden sand and a laid-back vibe, dance to the salsa music, smoke the Cuban cigars soak up the atmosphere.
